Paul and Caryn Kean

The Marriage Course is held twice a year and meets on Monday nights at the church. There are seven sessions spread out over a period of 2-3 months. The sessions typically begin at 6:30 PM and run until 9:00 PM.

The next Marriage Course is coming this Fall. Stay tuned for details.

The Marriage Course is a seven-session course for couples who want to strengthen their marriage.  It doesn't matter if you're young or old, if you have problems, or if you're doing just fine - your marriage will benefit from the principles and practical advice given in this course.

The Marriage Course meets at the church on a weekly or bi-weelly basis, usually on Monday nights.  Each evening begins by sharing a meal with the other couples participating in the course, then everyone watches an hourlong interactive teaching video.

The video sessions are taught be a husband and wife team who share from their personal marriage experiences. During the videos, time is given for the couples to split off in pairs for completion of the handbook exercices and private discussion.

The videos are entertaining and thought provoking, and they get you and your spouse talking about important issues in your relationship.  Topics covered in the videos include understanding and valuing your spouse, communication, conflict resoluction, dealing with inlaws, and sex.

The course was created in the UK by friends of the Alpha Course.  While taught by Christians, the Marriage Course is not overly "religious" and is based on principles which apply to all couples, whether in the church or not.

The course costs $7.00 per person (for the handbooks).  Meals are provided for free.

Help Wanted:
People to volunteer to provide a meal during the course and to help with setup and cleanup.

If you have a heart for families and want to see others devlope strong, lasting marriages, please consider helping out.

Just one night of volunteering to setup up or provide a meal would be a great help!
